IT HAPPENED!
I got scammed out of 35m today, equivalent to about 3 fitted Eris's. I wasn't paying enough attention and was being stupid. I TOLD YOU KARMA WAS COMING FOR ME! I TOLD YOU!!!

It's so very cold down here in Hell.
I think my luck today is what caused the dramatic change in temperature. Yes, this is another Eve-related post. LET TEH ERIS PWNAGE BEGIN!
Yes, I said the Eris. Quite possibly the worst dictor in Eve. But it was the best I could get my hands on, I couldn't get to the system that had the Flycatchers, and fuck 35 mill for a Sabre. 8 mill Eris ftw.
T'was a good day for the ol' dictor. The first to fall victim to the pink demon was a poor sap in his Itty 4. Got caught in my bubble, got podded :)
Less than 5 minutes after, a Manticore shows up 100km away and attempts to get revenge for his fallen comrade. I start zooming towards him, and he fires off a volley at my corpmates Merlin, which in the end went kaboom. I popped and podded the Manti though. He either didn't see me coming or didn't react in time, but either way I dropped a bubble when I was close enough, pounded him to a pulp, podded and collected the loot. He dropped two Arbalest cruise's, a T2 BCU, and a T2 overdrive. The Gods of PvP love me it seems, I'm poor and needed loot just like that to help my wallet bounce back :D
Next up, we were chasing a poor little Sigil around. We finally got him cornered, but he cloaked. While we were trying to find him, what else but a Ferox would show up. Felt good popping that, but sadly we missed the hauler.
And last, I'm proud of this kill: another Eris :)
The story behind the Eris kill is simple. There was a big blob next door and the Eris was bait. Who else but me would bait the bait? He tried to get me to warp to the gate his blob was behind several times. Eventually he gave up and just started warping betwen these two gates. He wasn't too keen on engaging me 1 v 1, so I gave him no choice.
I warped to one gate at range, then warped back to the other at range again. I dropped a bubble, primed my weapons, and waited. Less than a minute later, he warps in, gets trapped in my bubble, and the fight is on. Though he sucked to be honest, barely got me to half shields. Maybe he didn't have any turrets? I dunno. Either way, he went kaboom and I, once again, squished the pod. Didn't have time to collect loot though, his buddies showed up quick.
Thats the last of my kills for today. Not done yet though :D
Later on another blob showed up. Same guys as before, just more of 'em. They didn't seem too happy.
I was sitting outside the station, merrily orbiting it at top speed. They had an Eris in their gang, and he seemed pretty cocky because he tried to take me on. Twice.
The first time I slowed down enough to allow him to get in to my weapons range. I ended up webbing him for fun and i dropped a bubble to hold him there. But alas, he escaped, informing me shortly after that he had a mere 8% structure remaining. God damn!
The second time, same routine but he was faster and had a web fitted this time. The n00b still had blasters fitted though. Once again I gave him a spanking, he took off before I could finish my handiwork. Moral of the story: Blaster Eris's don't work, Rail Eris's is where it's at ;)
Now watch, 10 bucks says I lose my dictor tomorrow to stupid circumstances. The Karma police are after me. Ooo... speaking of karma police... wheres my MP3 player, I like that song.

I've been clean for roughly 1.5-2 years or so. I lost my Steam login details, and could never get them back. But the itch has returned... PLANT THE BOMB! RUSH A! NO RUSH B! STOP FUCKING TEAM FLASHING! GODDAMMIT RUSH FUCKING B!
... But I don't have my login details. And I can't recover my password. So, the next best thing untill I have the finds to re-buy my CS Source copy, as I type this I'm downloading America's Army. I NEED MY TACTICAL SHOOTER FIX!
I need rehab.

Yet another Eve post
Ok, I always knew the Ishkur was a damned good assault frig... but HOLY FUCK am I impressed.
So I'm ratting in Stain in my Pilgrim. A corpmate asks if I wanna go pew pew in some AF's, so why not? After spending a fuckload of isk (was in a good mood so I bought him 4 rigs, and myself a Domination Warp Disruptor for the Ishkur), I re-kit my Ishkur, and we make best speed to Syndicate.
Things don't start too well. Mostly boring, get chased by a blob for a few minutes, usual crap. After we finish blob dodging, we go on our merry way looking for a few kills. I jump in and Haargoth jumps in moments after. People in local, YAY!
We do a very short bit of looking around and prepare to move on out, when on scanner at max range I notice a Dominix, Drake, and some smelly hauler. I tell him what I have on scan, the general idea is we can't take a domi. I say that I may have a drake (ignoring the domi, cuz I'm so cool a Domi doesn't scare me :P ), and whadaya know. I come out of warp at a belt, and there they are. All three.
I tell Haargoth to get his ass here quick.
I assess the situation as quickly as I can. At this point, I'm high as hell on adreneline. And I hesitate. The Domi is sensor boosting, that means it will kill me. The Domi has Hammerhead 2's out, that means he's going to kill me. The drake locks me, he's going to kill me.
The hauler quickly warps out. The hell with it, this Ishkur is gonna die so it may as well die now before I get too attached to it. C'mere Domi!
With my shiney new Domination Warp Disruptor, which I got at 18 mill instead of the 30-something I paid for the one on my Pilgrim, I put two points on the Domi and proceeded to lock his drones.
He recalled his drones... I think "Oh shit, here come the Warrior 2's", not to even mention he's probably loaded to the gills with heavy Nos's, which of course are poison to anthing.
He just sits there for a minute. Haargoth finnaly arrives in his Jaguar, just as the Drake begins to shoot me. His missiles, of course, hit. I'm expecting to have to start repping almost immediately. But hey, whadaya know, took his ages to just get through my shields. The Domi re-launches his Hammerhead 2's. I can just feel the pain now!
They seemed very disorganized for the entire fight. They'd switch between my Ishkur and his Jaguar. They concentrated on Haargoth for a while and eventually forced him to warp out. Thankfully though he had bought me enough time to just about finish off all of the Domi's drones.
Why the Domi didn't have spare drones, I don't know. And, for some reason, he didn't have a single nos on him. But regardless of the lack of drones and nos, I'd be fully expecting a Drake to break my tank. I don't know what missiles he was spitting at me, or how much damage they were doing... but whatever it was, they tickled.
Haargoth once again returns in his Jaguar and puts points on the Drake. The Domi is going down, slowly but surely. I'm still tanking the Drake. My cap is having a little bit of issues, so I start running it manually... which is still more than enough to tank his damage, wtf?
Towards the end, we all know the outcome: the Domi is going to die, and the Drake is next. I ask, like the cocky son of a bitch I am when high on adrenaline, "Like my tank?". Disaster strikes though. The drake warps off. Dammit! Now we gotta be content with just a Domi kill...
And content we were. We were laughing about the fight for well over an hour after we finished off the Domi. AND HAARGOTH GOT FRAPS OF THE FIGHT! WOOHOO! Now I FINALLY have some material proof that I'm not a total n00b.
I'm still high over the fight tbh. It's extremely rare something like that happens. That was just great. The fight lasted for like 6 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. THAT is the kind of combat I lust for in this game. The kind that lasts a long time, and doesn't simply consist of "Primary XYZ, Secondary ABC". Even if I had lost my Ishkur, that still would have been a fun fight, and I'd still be laughing since we DID try to take on two ships that are both poison to Assault Frigs. I mean, come on, it's like taking on two Lion's when your both, I dunno, frogs?
Need more of that. Need a LOT more. THAT'S the shit I lust for in this game, and that'd the stuff that keeps me playing.

LIVE, damn you, LIIIVE!!
My computer is dying :(
... and it's taking my fucking sanity with it.
So heres the deal, lets start from the very begining:
Power outage during reboot, corrupts Windows.
Two weeks later, finnaly get windows back installed.
Next day? Day after? Either way, very shortly after I reinstalled Windows, it went corrupt. Repaired it twice.
3 or 4 days ago, I finnaly give up and just wipe clean. Fresh XP install and everything.
Next day: Windows corrupts itself.
Day after that, I reinstall Windows, again. Less than 5 hours later, probably not more than 2 or 3 if i remember right, it corrupts itself. Again.
... then magically it works again.
Now lets move on to todays wonderful events!
So there I am, playing Eve, sitting in station like a good little boy. Out of nowhere, a little section's textures glitch. I figure just the game bugging up, whatever. Then a few more weird little glitches appear. Then artifacts spring up everywhere and start fucking dancing across the screen. Then my screen goes blank. Then comes back, goes blank, comes back, goes blank, and comes back one last time. Then I get a popup from the ATI control panel, telling me that VPU Recover reset my card because "it stopped responding." What the fuck?
Then it happens again.
And again.
Then once more, but this time my screen never comes back, and I have to reset my computer.
So I log back in, chat a bit more, then it starts acting up yet again, and I just shut it down before it gets bad.
Starting to wonder what the hell is really causing the problems here. Just about every component is a suspect now. Though for the record, I cleaned up my computer shortly afterwards and there was a good fuckload of dust in my videocard, so we'll see if cleaning it out has made any difference (sure made a difference in temperature. Sitting in station before it reported a temp of roughly 130*F *pretty sure it wasn't centigrade anyways*, and after cleaning it barely topped out at 70-80).
If Windows goes corrupt again, I will cry. I will cry, I will cry, and I will fucking cry some more, and then I'll get a baseball bat and have a jolly good time smashing my computer in to an unrecognizable pulp. ONLY WARNING, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!
*ahem* So... ehm... err... doo dee doo... bah screw it. I'm off. Don't play next to the traffic, play IN it!

I'm a seasoned intarweb veteren. Theres very little I haven't seen. Or so I thought.
I have this daily routine: find something random on Wikipedia, and follow that wherever my curiosity and patience will take me. Today, finnaly, I regret it. But, on the plus side, I finnaly have a winning weapon to all those "post your most disgusting \ shocking \ whatever image" contests.
... I thought that this was just a gag on South Park. I thought it was just something bizarre that our friends in the porn industry thought up. I thought it was something that could never possibly exist...
I was proven wrong. So very, very wrong.

Early bird gets the worm?
.... or early bird gets an early start on his ritual points-whoring!
7 AM... when I'm off from school, this usually is when I go to sleep, not wake up (actually been up since like 6:30, but thats beside the point). But I just couldn't keep it together last night so I collapsed on my bed early :P
So, in Gran Turismo news, soooo damned close! I'm saving up for the Toyota GT-One. I'm running the Easy mode Capri Rally (or whatever that track is called. Second on the list of Special Events) over and over again for the prize car, which sells for 260k each. 1.5 million to go and I've got my new car, yay!
I've also fallen in love with a new car. The Camaro LM Race Car. I usually compare new cars to the Ford GT, which has been my regular car since the day after I got the game. The Camaro >>> my Ford GT. It brakes SO much better, it goes faster (I'm not advanced enough to tune my cars yet, so this is with the default tuning), and it turns so much better and easier. Faster, easier to drive, fuckin' WIN in my books.
In the Battlefield 2142 scene... just over 200 or so points to go untill I've ranked up to Warrant Officer Silver! Really running low on unlocks here. I have the Recon class absolutely maxed out (including Northern Strike unlocks), all I don't have from the Assault class is the Northern Strike unlocks. Player abilities I have the Grenandes and the two sprint unlocks, and I have the Squad Beacon from the leader tree.
Which leaves me with two classes left: Engineer (yuck), and Support. I've had a long-running hatred of Support, their machine guns drive me insane and those mobile turrets anger me much. But I've been working up my unlocks there. From the Shotgun tree all I have is the first unlock (pretty sure thats the shield), and when I rank up, from the Ganz tree I'll be getting the mobile turret thingy which is pretty awesome. W00t!
... Not that I play as support much. But gotta burn the unlocks somewhere, and I've liked Support more than I've liked Engineer. Mostly playing as Assault, I just LOVE the Voss, and the Baur is great for a couple of maps as well (getting in snipe wars with my Baur against people with sniper rifles is pretty hilarious). But I must say, grenade spamming with Support has it's perks, especially when others join in the fun with you and you get resupply points ;)
Thats about it for my gaming scene, for those of you curious (and not :P ). In the RL scene, which sadly isn't half as interesting, not much to say really. Fucked my legs over PRETTY damn good... still trying to figure out how. But it sure hurts like a bitch when I walk, so whatever I did, I screwed it up pretty badly.
We got HDTV yesterday, YAY! Well, we already had the TV, we just got the satellite for it now. Watching true 1080i HD is like having an orgasm that never stops. Just fucking amazing. Now to get an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player, a season of 24 in HD \ Blu-Ray.... muahahaha. Terrorists will die in High-Def! :P (Assuming I can pull my dad away from it long enough, heh heh)
Now, for that BBQ we also got my dad for fathers day to arrive... should have been here yesterday or the day before, but it hasn't. Maybe today... but my legs are threatening to hurt me if i say "hopefully", because I get the joyful duty of assembling a fucking 300 point gas grill. GOD DAMN! :(
Thats about it. Might have something interesting for the next entry, we'll see how long this stays a good idea in my mind. If it stays good, I'll make a post about it. If not, it'll never see the light of day :P

I've also fallen in love with a new car. The Camaro LM Race Car. I usually compare new cars to the Ford GT, which has been my regular car since the day after I got the game. The Camaro >>> my Ford GT. It brakes SO much better, it goes faster (I'm not advanced enough to tune my cars yet, so this is with the default tuning), and it turns so much better and easier. Faster, easier to drive, fuckin' WIN in my books.
In the Battlefield 2142 scene... just over 200 or so points to go untill I've ranked up to Warrant Officer Silver! Really running low on unlocks here. I have the Recon class absolutely maxed out (including Northern Strike unlocks), all I don't have from the Assault class is the Northern Strike unlocks. Player abilities I have the Grenandes and the two sprint unlocks, and I have the Squad Beacon from the leader tree.
Which leaves me with two classes left: Engineer (yuck), and Support. I've had a long-running hatred of Support, their machine guns drive me insane and those mobile turrets anger me much. But I've been working up my unlocks there. From the Shotgun tree all I have is the first unlock (pretty sure thats the shield), and when I rank up, from the Ganz tree I'll be getting the mobile turret thingy which is pretty awesome. W00t!
... Not that I play as support much. But gotta burn the unlocks somewhere, and I've liked Support more than I've liked Engineer. Mostly playing as Assault, I just LOVE the Voss, and the Baur is great for a couple of maps as well (getting in snipe wars with my Baur against people with sniper rifles is pretty hilarious). But I must say, grenade spamming with Support has it's perks, especially when others join in the fun with you and you get resupply points ;)
Thats about it for my gaming scene, for those of you curious (and not :P ). In the RL scene, which sadly isn't half as interesting, not much to say really. Fucked my legs over PRETTY damn good... still trying to figure out how. But it sure hurts like a bitch when I walk, so whatever I did, I screwed it up pretty badly.
We got HDTV yesterday, YAY! Well, we already had the TV, we just got the satellite for it now. Watching true 1080i HD is like having an orgasm that never stops. Just fucking amazing. Now to get an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player, a season of 24 in HD \ Blu-Ray.... muahahaha. Terrorists will die in High-Def! :P (Assuming I can pull my dad away from it long enough, heh heh)
Now, for that BBQ we also got my dad for fathers day to arrive... should have been here yesterday or the day before, but it hasn't. Maybe today... but my legs are threatening to hurt me if i say "hopefully", because I get the joyful duty of assembling a fucking 300 point gas grill. GOD DAMN! :(
Thats about it. Might have something interesting for the next entry, we'll see how long this stays a good idea in my mind. If it stays good, I'll make a post about it. If not, it'll never see the light of day :P

Vroom Vroom!
I'm addicted to Gran Turismo. I can't stop playing. Someone find me a support group.
In other news, we got my dad a nice 32-inch HDTV for Fathers Day. Don't have an HD-DVD \ Blu-Ray player yet sadly, but we did get a regular DVD player which scales up normal DVD's to 1080i. Still looks frikken amazing. Need to pester DirecTV sometime and get an HD receiver... that's gonna be a joy all in it's own (dealing with DirecTV). Glad I'm not doing that :P
Now I gotta go find HDTV adapters for my PS2 and Xbox... to Amazon I go!
Thats all. Go back to stalking 12 year olds on Myspace now.

It's been a while
Been a while since I posted anything here. If anyone ever read this crap, I'm sure you don't now. But hey, boredom prevails.
The power went out about 2 weeks ago while my comp was in the middle of rebooting. from then on out, I'd get a constant Blue Screen of Death whenever I tried to start Windows. Got it reinstalled a few days ago though (floppy drive nightmare, long story).
So, lets see, whats new for you damned stalkers. Hmm... Well I have a PS2 now, and Gran Turismo 4 to go along with it. Excellent game. I loved the original GT and this one's even better. Definitely worth checking out..
I also have a new web comic to read! YAY! Check out this link great little comic. Took me about 7 or 8 hours or so to read through the entire archives (maybe more, maybe less, not sure), great comic.
And thats all. Go away. I'm tired.

Oh HELL yes v2
If you haven't gotten Linkin Park's new album "Minutes To Midnight", go get it. I'm not kidding. Go get it. Even if you suck and hate LP, give this album a chance, it's great.
It opens like any other LP album. Usual round of guitars and all that. The third track (or second, not counting the intro), is my personal favorite. Though I SWEAR I've heard a song somewhere that sounds almost exactly like it, just different lyrics. That'll frive me nuts for a week.
Without spoiling the rest of the album, all I'll say (besides that it pwns), is that the album doesn't flow well. It seems more like an album of random tracks than anything. But, regardless, it's a great album, other than the first track (besides the intro), which kinda sucked but meh.

Oh HELL yes.
If you've looked on the right of this page, you'll see that Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands. Their releasing a new album soon. Old news. I'm very happy though. Listening to the first single released, talk about nostalgia.
I love this genre of punk. I hate the modern emo crap, but I love the early-2000's pop-punk (like Blink 182 and such), and I havent been able to fill that hole in my music collection with anything new in that area. This is definitely a God-send for me. I love Sum 41 and I really miss that era of punk.
Can't wait for the new album. July 24th... come on come on come on!

It has begun...
No, no, the penguins aren't invading us yet. Their invasion isn't far off I'm sure, but this has to due with other things.
Summer, it's here.
Ok, maybe technically it's still Spring. But my thermometer begs to differ. Yesterday it topped out at a bit above 90*F (32*C for you metric system n00bs). Today was somewhere between 90-100*F.
... And the sad thing is, the worst is yet to come. This is but a mere sample of the coming torture. And some fucking sissies I know from the UK and other places in Europe bitch about it being like 75-80*F... think thats bad? Come spend a summer in California. 80*F is literally quite comfortable. Sissies.
Now, on to the usual subject of Eve. GRRRRR. Another Eris down. Ok, PROBABLY my fault... but I'm still mad. What makes me even more mad? On the gate I jumped in to was some bastard I'm not especially fond of for many reasons, using MY evil tactic. Small bubble like 70k from the gate. Sit just outside the generator range with a smartbomb battleship, pwn anything that comes by. Wanna know something funny? When I did it, I used a Typhoon. He used a Typhoon too. Smartbomb. Typhoon. Bubble. 70km. I think theres some fucking spies in my channel, because that's the EXACT tactic I used from time to time in RAZOR. GRR.
Sticking to the subject of Eve... I love Invention. Been making quite a good income out of it. And now the corp I'm in is getting involved and buying me stuff too (well, stuff to use to build them stuff, but hey, when they don't need anything, I profit :P ). Cheap T2 goodies for the win.
Once again, heres a bit about my camera. I want this filter. I want it quite a lot. Different size, but same effect. Holy crap that thing looks awesome. Ooooh, one good thing about Summer, it also means the 4th of July is coming. I go crazy with my camera on that day. Should be fun this year especially since my camera isn't a little compact average-joe camera.
I've mentioned this before. 24. The season is almost over and it makes me sad. Can't wait to see how the season ends, though this week's episode was a bit crap. But that was the absolute best way I've ever seen to kill off a character. "Who's in charge here?" "I am" "Come here" BAM bullet to the head. So random, was hilarious. Never seen a main character killed off quite like that before.
I'm wondering what Season 7 is gonna be like. From the current plot, I'd say something about stopping China from invading Russia, Russia from invading the states, the States invading one or the other, or some combination of that. But hey, two episodes left (well technically 3, but the last two are shown at once) and then we'll hopefully know. Been a great season imo, though it is the first one I've been able to watch start to finish.
... If they don't show the final two episodes on the 24 myspace page like they normally do... I'm going to cry. I'm going to cry, I'm going to murder someone, I'm going to spend weeks looking for it on the web and millions of hours downloading it (assuming it's from shittorrent) and if I don't find it I'll murder someone else. MUST HAVE 24! I MUST!
*ahem* Now, to make myself appear sane before the men in white coats get me... hmm... well ok, you all know I'm not sane, but hey.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! OOOO!! OOOOOOO!!! New Linkin Park album in a few days. *Dodges flying brick* I happen to like Linkin Park, and hearing the new single, I'm psyched about the new album. Getting bored of my current music collection anyways.
Music note, DJ Tiesto's album "Elements Of Life" that I mentioned ages ago came out ages ago, great album. Has some low points, but "Break My Fall" alone makes up for them ALL, not to mention "He's A Pirate" and other great tracks. Great stuff there, worth checking out if you haven't already.
Oh. One last thing. For my fellow Battlefield 2142 players, don't bother sniping when I'm around. In comparison, you all suck, and you all suck BAD. Full story: I was bored so I went and played a round on Tunis Harbor. I usually go Recon on this map, so I loaded up my trusty basic Sniper Rifle (Zeller ftl), upgraded cloak, and APM for peace of mine. Went to my usual spot and started annihilating the enemy team. Three especially noteworthy kills:
- Head shot of the driver of an FAV.
- Headshotting some random guy who's head was just poking above the wall by like 1\5 of his helmet.
- Taking out one of many enemy snipers. Shot him once, he ducked behind the steps, and there was just an ever so slight opening where I could hit his torso. Just BARELY in sight due to the dust on the map. And I hit him, and he died.
And that's not even counting the guys that snuck behind me in my team's base that I took out, the guys I nailed that were cloaked and sprinting, and of course the many many randoms I took out. Sadly the round ended when I was but a mere two kills away from getting my gold-level Recon Service award, GAH! Try again tomorrow I guess.
Pretty funny. In that round I went head to head with another sniper on my team. We were in the same spot and we both had snipers. People, I'm telling you, DON'T try and snipe when I'm sniping, it's pointless. All your targets are belong to me. And to the guys on the enemy team, don't try and snipe me, or if you must, GET A HEAD SHOT, or else I'm going to get you. And I don't miss, especially against other snipers. Best way to kill me: AR Rockets. God I fucking hate those.
That'll do for tonight. Hmm, what to go and do now...

Today was interesting!
Where to start, where to start...
So I'm rudely roused out of bed and told we're spending the day shopping by my parents. Fucking hell. I always get sick when I'm too far from home. Seriously.
So I have a shower, morning piss, usual routine. We get in the car (I have my trusty camera with me of course, but sadly it didn't get any use), drive to the evil place, then they go do their thing and I went and did mine (I was stuck with my btoher though).
My first stop: where else but Gamestop? I have cash to burn, I need some new games, 2 + 2 = 4. I swear to fucking GOD I'm never going there again.
So I tried to buy Elder Scrolls 4 and Supreme Commander. I go up to the clerk and he checks out the games, and then he tells me he needs to card me for Oblivion... what the fuck. Do I fucking LOOK like I'm 12? For gods sake. And of course, I don't have and never have had an ID card. So (this part I'm slightly embarrassed about) I get a bit angry, raise my voice a little (I later apologized for the outburst though), then I called my dad and asked him to get it for me. Grrr. Stupid fucking store policies. That there put a damper on my day.
Next up was a Radioshack raid. This time I didn't chew the clerk out, don't worry. Got a new pair of headphones, ran $50 (ouch), but OMFG their great. A bit of hiss, but soooo much better than earbuds. NEVER AGAIN! Never touching earbuds. Ever. Theres just no comparison. These things are HUGE, they swallow up my ear and then some, I love 'em.
Stopped shortly after to grab a coke (2 bucks for a coke? Me unhappy). Then since my parents were taking forever with whatever they were up to (clothes shopping and hair cut for my mom apparently), my brother and I went looking for something for my mom for her birthday. We got her something that she should love (huge cookbook, and she's really in to those things), so I'm happy there.
Since they were still taking ages, and a theater was right there, I gave my brother two choices: come with me to watch 300, or go hang out with my parents. I've got no problems going to the movies by myself, I'm a loser like that (or just more interested in the movie, whichever excuse works for you). He chooses to come with me.
For anyone wanting to see 300... GO. FUCKING. SEE IT. NOW. It's awesome. Though I'd advice against bringing young children (unlike the morons behind us. Games don't make people violent, annoying 3 year olds in R rated movies, mixed with an earlier bad expereince with bullshit game regulation does. I wanted to strangle that damn kid), theres several scenes with more sexual content than most movies. No actual sex shots, but a good bit of breasts exposed, and in the sex scenes it comes pretty damn close. So little kids, leave 'em home.
300, again, was simply awesome. The movie was done incredibly well. My only complaint was that the projector was apparently crap, was several vertical black lines constantly showing during the movie, and there was some noticeable image noise \ grain in the movie too (if the movie was shot in digital, that would probably explain it). It wasn't too bad, but for those of us who are picky bastards, it's noticeable. But it sure as hell didn't keep me from enjoying every second of 300.
Then, after the movie, we met back up with my parents, and went TV shopping for my dad after we grabbed a bite to eat (his birthday is coming up too, and my TV is in the living room and I want it back already :P ), though sadly didn't buy anything, not yet at least. Boo!
And that's about it. Need to go play Oblivion now (I'm gonna regret it when I get hooked), and Supreme Commander tomorrow. Also bought the Borat DVD today, need to watch that sometime too.
My wallet hurts.
EDIT: oh, one thing more about the theater experience today. Why am I carded for a game that was originally rated T and later changed to M (barely even deserves it, ESRB sucks), but not to see an R rated movie which contains nudity and excessive blood and gore, especially when I'm bringing my 12 year old brother with me? A bit of hiss, but soooo much better than earbuds. NEVER AGAIN! Never touching earbuds. Ever. Theres just no comparison. These things are HUGE, they swallow up my ear and then some, I love 'em.
Stopped shortly after to grab a coke (2 bucks for a coke? Me unhappy). Then since my parents were taking forever with whatever they were up to (clothes shopping and hair cut for my mom apparently), my brother and I went looking for something for my mom for her birthday. We got her something that she should love (huge cookbook, and she's really in to those things), so I'm happy there.
Since they were still taking ages, and a theater was right there, I gave my brother two choices: come with me to watch 300, or go hang out with my parents. I've got no problems going to the movies by myself, I'm a loser like that (or just more interested in the movie, whichever excuse works for you). He chooses to come with me.
For anyone wanting to see 300... GO. FUCKING. SEE IT. NOW. It's awesome. Though I'd advice against bringing young children (unlike the morons behind us. Games don't make people violent, annoying 3 year olds in R rated movies, mixed with an earlier bad expereince with bullshit game regulation does. I wanted to strangle that damn kid), theres several scenes with more sexual content than most movies. No actual sex shots, but a good bit of breasts exposed, and in the sex scenes it comes pretty damn close. So little kids, leave 'em home.
300, again, was simply awesome. The movie was done incredibly well. My only complaint was that the projector was apparently crap, was several vertical black lines constantly showing during the movie, and there was some noticeable image noise \ grain in the movie too (if the movie was shot in digital, that would probably explain it). It wasn't too bad, but for those of us who are picky bastards, it's noticeable. But it sure as hell didn't keep me from enjoying every second of 300.
Then, after the movie, we met back up with my parents, and went TV shopping for my dad after we grabbed a bite to eat (his birthday is coming up too, and my TV is in the living room and I want it back already :P ), though sadly didn't buy anything, not yet at least. Boo!
And that's about it. Need to go play Oblivion now (I'm gonna regret it when I get hooked), and Supreme Commander tomorrow. Also bought the Borat DVD today, need to watch that sometime too.
My wallet hurts.
EDIT: oh, one thing more about the theater experience today. Why am I carded for a game that was originally rated T and later changed to M (barely even deserves it, ESRB sucks), but not to see an R rated movie which contains nudity and excessive blood and gore, especially when I'm bringing my 12 year old brother with me? Why? It's just... *pulls his hair out* murder death kill murder death kill murder death kill.....

It's Scrubs day! Yay!
Thursday = Scrubs day. 9 PM Pacific on NBC. Watch it, or else.
Looks like their killing off Laverne though (did I spell that right?). BOO!! Bad NBC! Bad! *smacks* She was funny :(
So, more randomness, the power went out the other day for like an hour. The wind was really kicking up nicely, according to weather.com it averaged just shy of 20mph with gusts of 30mph. So, since the power was out, got out my camera and decided to fiddle around with some RAW shooting. We had a bunch of candles lit, so it was perfect. And OMFG, the pics were awesome. I converted a couple to TIFF (in RAW form they were 17 megs.... in TIFF, 70 megs), and I'd upload them if it weren't for the fact that I'd get bombarded with hatemail. I don't think people want to load a 70 meg image in their browser...
The detail was amazing though. Absolutely no noise whatsoever, every small detail was captured, the exposure was just right, finally I got it right :P
Ok, so, leaving the subject of my leet camera, I need a 12 step program for Battlefield 2142, I'm becoming addicted. I've started playing as Assault, and just unlocked the Voss yesterday. Run, gun, and revive a few teammates along the way... tons and tons of points whored in such a small period of time, can't beat that. Now to unlock the Baur... 4 ranks away, craptastic.
As far as Eve goes, for the moment I'm not doing much in there. Training Destroyers to 5 to prep my char for interdictors, YARR. Beware, Gistii-fitted Crow's from hell! YOUR TIME IS NEAR! You too, haulers filled with goodies.
As far as music goes, I'm gonna be very happy very soon. April has a new DJ Tiesto album. May has the new Linkin Park album (so I like LP, fuck off) and the new Thrice albums. Sometime this summer, a new Sum 41 album. And, if there is a God, he'll give is the new Radiohead album sometime this year too. Lot'sa good music, YAY!
And now, moving on to something totally unrelated to anything I've ever mentioned in an MSN convo or a post here. I was reading through some old archives of misc places I visit, and I stumbled upon a little article discussing chips in humans, similar to that like we have in our dog's.
It seems a good bit of people are against the idea. Why, exactly? I'm looking at it like this: a little chip inside your neck or whatever that contains essential information about you. You're name, any allergies, medications your on, that sorta stuff. Imagine for instance, you're in a car accident and you're unconscious. The paramedics arrive and quickly treat you. But the stuff your going to give you, either conflicts with your prescription medications, or you're allergic to it. You're screwed. ut what if they could run a scanner past your neck and get all that information, and give you an alternative instead? The same applies for treatment in the hospital.
I can see it also helping in identifying bodies as well. Found a dumped body that has no ID? The police could just run a quick scanner right there, and know who the victim is, their family, any criminal record, etc.
What if you're child was kidnapped? I doubt you'd mind a chip in their neck if it also had a GPS in the chip.
The list of potential benefits goes on and on. I can see how some people would be paranoid about Big Brother watching them and all that, but I think all that is vastly out-weighed by the potential benefits. Just something to think about I guess.

Considering I keep forgetting to post random crap here, I doubt anyone still reads (assuming they did before anyways), but hey, I'm bored.
Not like anythings going on anyways. Got some nice shots with my camera the other day, stuff like a hornet's nest (need an exterminator), tree's, misc stuff like that. Other than that, not much going on. Might try some panoramic photo's tommorow, given the weather is good and I can be bothered. And whenever I can be bothered and the sky will cooperate with me, I wanna go for another round of night sky shots.
So now, switching to Eve, the CEO of the corp I'm in is taking a break, and he wants a new CEO. So I'm campaigning to be the CEO, looks like this'll be fun and interesting. Pretty sure Gusta (assuming he's willing to take the job) will win though, which is completely fine by me, he's a cool guy and he'll do a damn fine job as CEO. But I'm still running for CEO, me being a competitive bastard and all. Regardless of who the new CEO is, I'm still gonna do everything I can to better the corp, so may the best potential CEO win!

You do realize of course, that dis means WAR?
My body's many parts and my brain are no longer on speaking terms. They've gone to war. Lungs and upper respiratory crap or whatever (biology ain't my thing) refuses to stop coughing. Brain is busy arguing with itself over stupid crap it needs to get over. Ears won't stop bleeding from the OK Computer re-make I heard earlier. Bladder needs to piss. The list goes on.
Ok, now, in all seriousness, I'm bored.
So, to start things off I downloaded (L_E_G_A_L_Y !!!!) the new Sevendust album, Alpha. While it's not the best album ever made, I do like it. The album flows well and sounds good, though a bit too much pointless swearing. Disclaimer: I'm not some bible humping sissy that can't handle swears, hell I swear myself quite a lot, but when it's just thrown in pointlessly and badly timed, it can be a little annoying. Nevertheless, it's a good album. Not quite as good as Seasons was, but still good.
Switching the subject to Eve, I've got a new saying for op's: "Another day, another Ares." It seems like every damn day I lose another of the wonderful, pink piece of shit they call an Interceptor. Yea, tackling a Typhoon with his Harbinger buddy 70km off while I had only half structure was really a bright idea. Shoulda tackled the Harbinger instead of the phoon, heh heh :P (yea Kery you were right, stfu)
Then the bastard goes and ganks a Mackinaw as I'm flying home in my pod. You rat bastard.
Then I jump in to a system, with my pod, and find myself in a large bubble, with a Thanatos, Huginn, and Megathron all waiting for me. At least I don't have to fly 30 jumps home now...
Yea, great night.
Now, switching the subject from Eve to another game I like, Battlefield 2142, it seems old habits never die. I bought the Northern Strike booster pack yesterday. I havent played BF 2142 in about maybe like 1-2 months due to my internet being shit for some reason.
Just as accurate as ever. My best round so far had me with a 74% accuracy rating with the PAC's sniper rifle. My best streak was 14 kills, before another sniper ended it (as I ran out of ammo, heh heh). Worst accuracy has been a round I joined near the end, 33% accuracy. For a full-length round my worst accuracy was like 47%, of course with the sniper rifle (it's all I use). Not too bad I'd say.
On another BF 2142 note, I'm a little dissapointed with the Recon's new unlocks. The improved cloak I'm already in love with, but the decoy is a dissapointment. It's description led me to believe it'd be like displaying a holographic image of my character to bait the enemy in to my rifle's view. Sadly, apparently all it does is create a false blip on the radar. Ok, that has uses too, but still. I want a damn holographic dummy!
Ok, soooo... hmm... tomorrow starts round two of night shot experimenting with my camera. Last time did pretty well, got some nice shots, but I do have a few complaints. The images mainly just wern't as good as I was hoping. But, apparently, Fuji's image sharpening is to blame. I tested this myself in some day shots that normally wouldn't come out well, and the difference is amazing. So hopefully round 2 will go better. I love this thing :D
Now, lets see, what else can I put in here that nobody is gonna ever read... oh yes. I love wireless keyboards. I haven't changed the batteries in my Logitech Cordless Elite in over 2 years, and only today did they finally die. And it runs on low batteries just fine. I simply slapped a couple Duracell's my camera had already raped in, and it's good to go again. Now if only Logitech would make a damn mouse with such great battery life. And a more durable scroll wheel would be nice too... broke my G7's scroll wheel months ago, and now my MX Revolution's scroll wheel looks like it's getting ready to die too... fuckshitdamncrapGRRR!

Yarr! Raise the pirate flag! Rape the belongings, and pillage the women!

So, this is an Eve post, as some of you may have guessed.
Started off as a pretty shitty day in Eve. I logged in, corp chat was about as good as empty, so I went out looking for war targets with my Thorax, one of two cruisers I simply CANNOT fly no matter what. This was proven true yet again today, but first, the expereinces before that.
The first thing I was looking to kill, some war target in a Raptor. Didn't catch him unfortunately, but chased him for a good 20 or so minutes.
Next on the chopping block, a war target's Scorpion. Thorax vs Scorpion, not very smart, but hey, Bored prevails! So I chase this guy for who knows how long, end up losing him when he warps to a spot with two gates, and I pick the wrong one. GRRRRR!
Frustrated, I head out to Aunenen, to do a little piracy. This is the part that proves the Rax and me don't get along. A shiney Badger mk2 jumps in. Naturally, I attempt to kill it. I get it to about structure, and my capacitor fails, and the Badger warps off. FOR FUCKS SAKE!
Yea, I was pretty pissed. So I waited out my flag, docked the pile of crap, and went to get my Deimos, a shiney Tech 2 Thorax I'm quite fond of really. 5 Neutron blasters, with a 12x damage modifier on them... if the Deimos was a woman, I'd be in love.
I go out hunting. I stop in Tamo to harass the local mission whores. Apparently though CCP has fucked over probes. This is the letter I've been sending out on behalf of pirates everywhere: Dear CCP, Thank you for making mission whores invulnerable. Suck my balls. ~GH.
While I was busy probing the missioners though, some randomer started yelling in local that they had a lovely Moros pinned down in Aunenen belt 7-2. Naturally, I pin it as a trap, and ignore the guy. I'm not losing my Deimos today.
About 10 mins later though, boredom wins the battle against better judgment. I head over to Aunenen, and behold! A Moros! It wasn't a trap! WOOHOO!!
So, for the next 5 minutes and something seconds, I merrily help pound the Moros in to oblivion. My best hit was just shy of 900 damage, not too bad considering I'm using medium guns. Towards the end, I recalled my drones, aligned for a different location, and just as the Moros popped, I went running. Trust nobody, y'know? On the killmail, I was on top, which to you non-Eve stalkers reading this, means I did the most damage. Not bad for someone who arrived quite late.
Pretty crappy day made a thousand times better thanks to the Moros kill. Need to do that more often :D

Soooo....
Been a while since I posted anything... not like anyone besides stalkers is reading this anyways, but hey, gotta please everyone, even them.
So, to start things off I guess, my new camera came yesterday, woohoo! Fujifilm Finepix S6000fd. Awesome camera. Still learning the ropes of it (you can throw as many tutorials as you want at me, the best way to learn is through trial and error), but so far I love the thing, much better than my Olympus FE-100. Then again, I'm comparing a near-DSLR to a point-and-shoot made-for-morons compact, hardly fair.
Also got a new camera bag with the camera and a new memory card, a nice new 2gb xD card. Can actualy shoot RAW images now, the 256mb card I had wouldent let me take very many of those...
The new bag is nice. It's a Samsonite World-proof something something something. It basically has enough room for my Fuji, Olympus, plus my MP3 player (no iPod's here! Creative all the way!), and a crapload of extra batteries, cables, cards, software, lens hood, prettymuch everything I need and more.
Mmmk, on another random note, hmmm.... have I mentioned lately that 24 FUCKING ROCKS?! Seriously, I don't think I've ever been more addicted to a show in my life. Might be a little late to get in to the current season if your not already, but if you have a friend that's recorded the previous episodes, go kick him\her wherever it'll hurt most for the tape because it's just damn good. Curse it being Thursday! I want 24 NOW!

Might be a little late to get in to the current season if your not already, but if you have a friend that's recorded the previous episodes, go kick him\her wherever it'll hurt most for the tape because it's just damn good. Curse it being Thursday! I want 24 NOW!

Am I a God among men? I like to think so.
... When it comes to computer wiring at least. Wish I had my camera handy for some before and after shots of my handiwork.
So my dad was having some heat problems with his comp. Apparently his evil CPU managed to get itself to 190*F temp's... I know P4 Presscots get themselves hot, but come on, that's nuts. So I worked my magic; started by clearing out the dust in the heatsink fins (wasn't much, but still there), then I spent an hour doing a pretty damn good wiring job if I do say so myself :P
After the usual post-operation complications that always seem to happen whenever I touch a computer, essentially in the time that it would have taken the CPU to reach 160-170*F temps and continue to climb, it was only at 140 and holding steady. Hope it lasts, an hour of messing with god forsaken IDE cables has to be good for something, right?
So, ending this self bragging show, on a random note, I turn 17 this Saturday, w00t! Got my eyes on a nice new camera, a Fujifilm Finepix S6000fd. 6 megapixel, 10.7x zoom, very nice camera, but seems to be a bitch to find. I've already gone to Costco and Best Buy looking for it, but all I could find was the Panasonic Lumix LZ7 (or Lx7, I forget that second letter), Sony Cybershot H2, and the Canon S3IS. All 3 are good camera's, yes, but they all have noise issues at or above ISO 200 (especialy the Panasonic, noise at ISO 80, screw that), where as the Fuji S6000 only has lightly noticable noise at ISO 400, and still tolerable even at 800. So that's the one I want :P

Well, that was pretty awesome
How's this for a great day in Eve?
So I log in, and I'm in Taisy. Nothing seems to be going on, so I start playing with Quickfit, and shortly after a corpmate sends me a gang invite. I accept, hop on Ventrilo, and ask whats up. We're jumping a gang next door in M-O. We have 1 BS 3 cruisers 1 inty, they have 3 BS and 1 cruiser 1 inty. Do we have balls or what?
So we jump in. Right as we get there, they jump in to Taisy and hide. Sissies, all of them! Well, 'cept the crow, he stuck around to watch us.
So we start camping because we have nothing else to do. I get scout duty, so i jump in to E-O and sit on the gate. The Crow jumps through.
My Ares vs his Crow. Backup 40+ AU away next door. This... doesn't end well.
Just as my Ares pops, my backup jumps in, and of course the Crow escapes. Yea, great start. CCP, if your reading this by any chance, NERF THE FUCKING CROW OR BOOST THE FUCKING ARES, I DON'T CARE WHICH BUT DO SOMETHING.
*ahem* So anyways, I promptly leave and get my Vexor. True to the core gank setup. All tech 1. Suicide ship? You bet'cha.
We go back to camping. This time i get some kills. First on the chopping block: a Myrmidon. Died rather quick, dropped some nice toys. This next kill however, is where things really got nice.
A Drake warps in to our bubble. We gank it. Very quickly. It sucked. I'm first to the can. What do I see in the loot? "Kaikka's Modified Shield Boost Amplifier", "Dread Gurista's Large Shield Booster", and a couple of T2 Heavy Missile Launchers that go for 10 mill a pop. Since when does this stuff NOT explode? I quickly scoop the loot, scream on Vent what I've got, and promptly run the hell away and dock to drop this wonderful loot off (not before i thanked the pilot in local though ;) ), and came back to kill more stuff.
Things were dull for a while from there. Jumped back and forth with a few enemy BS's trying to be cocky, a few false alarms, that sorta stuff. Then we decide we're gonna call it a night. We warp to the Taisy gate... WHY HELLO THAR! Raven, Tempest, Maelstrom. All T2 fitted. All sitting on the gate. All lock me.
We have:
1x T2 fitted Tempest
1x Omen
1x Prophecy
1x Curse
1x Stabber
1x Vexor (mine)
They all lock me. They all ignore me. Yay for T1 cruisers. They go for our lovely Tempest pilot (two went for him, one went for another of our guys), who quickly gets knocked to structure (and is lagging to hell), but he reps himself up and the fight commences.
Primary target: Maelstrom. This baby took a pretty nice beating, but went down eventualy, with me doing the most damage to it. Thanks for the Tech 2 loot!
Secondary: Tempest. Ok, what the hell, was this a cruiser or a BS? It dropped in under 20 seconds, with me at the #2 spot on the killmail. Thanks for even more Tech 2 loot!
Tertiary: Raven. Didn't take as long as the Maelstrom did to kill, but still required a bit of a beating. Upon inspecting the loot and the killmail, he had two stabs on. Fucking Caldari pussies. But all the more Tech 2 loot to throw on to the pile. T2 seige's, T2 invulns, that kind of stuff.
What did we lose in this fight? Absolutely, positivly, nothing. Not one friendly ship went down. Regardless of the fact that this was easier than NPC'ing, thanks go out to Morsus Mihi for the fun fight (and the loot), better luck next time. Thanks for sparing me the trouble of NPC'ing. And props to Kessah, for having the damn best freaking Tempest Eve has ever seen. I wanna get me one of them!

Speaking of which...
Am I the only person that DOESN'T have a Myspace page? Honestly, I swear, just about everyone and their dog has a Myspace these days. What's the big deal? I've seen what Myspace pages look like, their fucking UGLY! Not that Blogger is any better...
